Plexus® MA560-1 is a two-part methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of thermoplastics, metals, and composite assemblies. It is formulated with a 1:1 mix ratio, a working time of 55 to 70 minutes, and reaches 500 psi in 3 hours and 1000 psi in 4 hours at 74°F (23°C).
This adhesive is specially developed for bonding large structures requiring extended open time. It is commonly used in the marine industry for bonding stringers and liners in fiberglass boats, with bond lines up to 1.00 in. (25 mm) thick.
MA560-1 is gray when mixed and is supplied in ready-to-use cartridges, pails, or drums. It dispenses as a non-sagging gel.
