Product Description

PUR Cleaner AV-125 is a modified active wax cleaning agent designed specifically for use with PUR hot melt adhesive systems. When heated and brought into contact with molten PUR adhesive, the cleaner undergoes a chemical reaction that deactivates the PUR adhesive, causing it to lose tackiness and making it significantly easier to remove from contaminated surfaces.

This product is primarily used for cleaning metal rollers, rubber rollers, and coating doctor blades in PUR adhesive application equipment. For effective cleaning, both the PUR adhesive residue and PUR Cleaner AV-125 must be in a heated, molten state.

Application & Cleaning Method

  1. Heat PUR Cleaner AV-125 to 100–150°C until fully molten.

  2. Remove excess PUR adhesive residue from the component surface.

  3. Immerse the contaminated component into the molten cleaning agent for approximately 10 minutes.

  4. Use a metal or fabric brush to remove softened PUR adhesive.

  5. Transfer metal parts into hot water (>80°C) and wipe off remaining cleaner.

  6. Dry components thoroughly after cleaning.


Repeated Use Guidelines

  • The cleaner solidifies after cooling and can be reheated for reuse.

  • As PUR adhesive accumulates, viscosity increases.

  • Replace the cleaner when it becomes excessively thick or contaminated and cleaning efficiency declines.

  • Replacement timing is determined by the user’s assessment of cleaning performance.
