Product Description

Plexus® MA550 is a two-part methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of thermoplastics, metals, and composite assemblies. It is formulated with a 10:1 mix ratio, a working time of 40 to 50 minutes, and reaches approximately 75% of ultimate strength in 70 to 75 minutes at 74°F (23°C).

This adhesive is widely used in the marine industry for secondary bonding applications because it requires virtually no surface preparation. It provides a unique combination of excellent fatigue endurance, outstanding impact resistance, and superior toughness.

MA550 is bright white and UV stable and is supplied in ready-to-use cartridges, pails, or drums. It dispenses as a non-sagging gel.

Key Features
