Product Description:

Plexus® MA8120 is a two-part methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of metals, plastics, and composites. It is particularly effective for galvanized and zinc-treated steel, requiring minimal surface preparation.

With a 1:1 mix ratio, MA8120 has a working time of 18 – 22 minutes at 75°F (23.9°C) and achieves 500 psi in 60 – 70 minutes and 1000 psi in 70 – 80 minutes at 75°F (23.9°C).

This adhesive provides high strength, toughness, and fatigue resistance, and contains 0.012-inch (0.3 mm) inert glass beads to control bondline thickness. It is available with or without glass-bead spacers.

Key Features:

Minimal Surface Preparation: Bonds aluminum, galvanized steel, stainless steel, composites, and plastics.
Primerless Adhesion to Metals: No primers required, reducing application time.
Superior Thin-Film Cure: Ensures strong bonding even with thin adhesive layers.
High Strength & Toughness: Provides excellent impact resistance and durability.
Good Fatigue & Corrosion Resistance: Ideal for transportation, marine, and industrial applications.

Recommended Applications:

🔹 Transportation: Structural bonding in automotive, rail, and aerospace industries.
🔹 Industrial Manufacturing: Bonding metal and plastic components in heavy machinery and appliances.
🔹 Marine Applications: Used in boat and ship construction for bonding composite and metal components.
