Product Description:

Plexus® MA2290 is a two-part methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of thermoplastic, metal, and composite assemblies. It requires minimal surface preparation and can fill gaps from 0.03 inches to 1.5 inches (gap fill depends on laminate thickness and composition).

With a 10:1 mix ratio, MA2290 has a working time of 106 minutes at 75°F (23.9°C) and achieves 500 psi in 180 – 185 minutes and 1000 psi in 215 – 220 minutes at 75°F (23.9°C). This adhesive provides excellent fatigue endurance, impact resistance, and superior toughness, along with lower exotherm and shrinkage to reduce surface read-through/printing effects.

MA2290 is available in blue or black colors and is supplied in cartridges, pails, or drums. It dispenses as a non-sagging gel.

Key Features:

Minimal Surface Preparation: Bonds many materials with little pre-treatment.
Large Gap Filling: Works in gaps up to 1.5 inches.
Low Exotherm & Shrinkage: Reduces surface read-through/printing effects.
High Strength & Toughness: Provides excellent impact resistance and durability.
Excellent Fatigue Resistance: Maintains strength under cyclic loads.
Long Work Time: Provides 106 minutes of working life at 75°F (23.9°C).

Recommended Applications:

🔹 Marine Industry: Bonding composite and metal components in boats and marine vessels.
🔹 Transportation: Structural bonding of thermoplastic and composite panels in automotive, rail, and aerospace.
🔹 Industrial Equipment: General manufacturing applications requiring high durability.
