SilFORT™ MHC2700 Clearcoat is a thermally cured, siloxane-based, primerless hardcoat designed to protect anodized aluminum substrates from corrosion, chemicals, and scratches. It provides exceptional acid and alkali resistance (pH 1.0 to 13.5) while preserving the appearance of glossy, matte, and colored anodized aluminum surfaces.

This direct-to-metal sol-gel coating allows for spray, dip, or flow coating application, offering flexibility for complex designs without requiring a primer. The gloss level can be adjusted using Momentive’s SilFORT MHC Matte additive, making it suitable for a variety of aesthetic and functional applications.
