Product Description

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive 1386 is a one-part, 100% solids, thermosetting liquid adhesive designed for structural bonding applications requiring high strength at service temperatures from -70°F to 250°F (-57°C to 121°C). This adhesive offers high impact, peel, and bond strength compared to standard epoxy-based adhesives. It emits little to no volatile by-products during curing, making it ideal for bonding impervious surfaces with minimal applied pressure.

Key Features

  • High-Temperature Resistance: Maintains strength at service temperatures from -70°F to 250°F (-57°C to 121°C).
  • High Strength: Offers superior impact, peel, and bond strength compared to traditional epoxies.
  • Minimal Volatiles: Enables curing with little or no pressure, making it suitable for impervious surfaces.
  • UL 94 HB Rated: Recognized for flame resistance.
  • Versatile Application: Suitable for knife coating, trowel, roller, pump, or high-pressure injection.

Recommended Applications

  • Structural bonding of metals, composites, and plastics in high-performance industries.
  • Bonding impervious surfaces in aerospace, automotive, and industrial manufacturing.
  • Applications requiring high peel and impact strength.
  • Heat-resistant applications where minimal applied pressure during curing is necessary.
