Product Description

Plexus® MA832 is an advanced two-part methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of metals without primers. It also provides excellent adhesion to thermoplastics and composite assemblies with little or no surface preparation. It has a 10:1 mix ratio, a working time of 12 to 14 minutes, and achieves 500 psi (3.5 MPa) in 65 to 70 minutes at 74°F (23°C).

This adhesive provides high strength, excellent fatigue endurance, outstanding impact resistance, and superior toughness. MA832 is gray when mixed and is supplied in ready-to-use cartridges, pails, or drums. It dispenses as a non-sagging gel.

Key Features

  • Primerless Metal Bonding: Bonds metals without primers.
  • Minimal Surface Preparation: Bonds many materials without extensive surface prep.
  • High Strength & Toughness: Provides high cohesive strength and durability.
  • Excellent Impact & Fatigue Resistance: Durable under dynamic loads.
  • Moderate Open Time: Provides 12-14 minutes of work life.

Recommended Applications

  • Transportation: Bonding composite and metal components in automotive, marine, and aerospace.
  • Construction: Structural bonding of composite and thermoplastic panels.
  • Industrial Equipment: Bonding metals and plastics in general manufacturing.
  • Sporting Goods: Used in assembly of lightweight and impact-resistant components.
