Product Description

Plexus® MA420FS is a two-part methacrylate adhesive designed for structural bonding of thermoplastics, metals, and composite assemblies. It is a fast-setting version of Plexus MA420, offering a shorter working time and quicker handling strength. Combined at a 10:1 mix ratio, MA420FS is commonly used in transportation and industrial applications due to its minimal surface preparation requirements.

The adhesive provides excellent fatigue endurance, impact resistance, and superior toughness, making it ideal for automated bonding applications.

MA420FS is available in Blue and Black and is supplied in ready-to-use cartridges, pails, or drums. It dispenses as a non-sagging gel for easy application.

Key Features

  • Rapid Cure Speed: Achieves handling strength faster than standard Plexus MA420.
  • Minimal Surface Preparation: Bonds many substrates without priming or sanding.
  • Excellent Fatigue & Impact Resistance: Withstands high-stress environments.
  • Wide Material Compatibility: Bonds aluminum, stainless steel, ABS, acrylic, PVC, fiberglass, and more.
  • Non-Sag Gel: Remains in place for vertical and overhead applications.

Recommended Applications

  • Transportation: Bonding composite and metal components in automotive, marine, and aerospace.
  • Construction: Structural bonding of composite and thermoplastic panels.
  • Industrial Equipment: Bonding metals and plastics in general manufacturing.
  • Sporting Goods: Used in assembly of lightweight and impact-resistant components.
