SilFORT™ MHC2710 Clearcoat is a thermally cured, siloxane-based, primerless hardcoat system designed for direct-to-metal application on aluminum substrates. It eliminates the need for anodization, leading to cost savings and improved sustainability. The coating provides excellent scratch resistance, chemical resistance, and corrosion protection, maintaining the appearance of the substrate. It withstands a wide pH range (1.0 to 13.5) and can be applied via spray, dip, or flow coating. Gloss levels can be adjusted using Momentive’s SilFORT MHC Matte additive.
