RTV157 is a one-component, ready-to-use, high-strength silicone rubber adhesive sealant that cures at room temperature upon exposure to atmospheric moisture. It forms a tough, resilient silicone rubber with excellent adhesion to various substrates, including metals, glass, ceramics, silicone rubber, and some plastics.
Designed for high-temperature applications, RTV157 provides continuous performance up to 204°C (400°F) and intermittent resistance up to 260°C (500°F) while maintaining flexibility at low temperatures (-60°C/-75°F).
This adhesive sealant offers excellent electrical insulation properties, superior weatherability, ozone resistance, and chemical resistance, making it ideal for industrial, aerospace, automotive, and electronic applications. It adheres well to most surfaces without primers but may require surface preparation for optimal bonding.
