1. Product Overview

Araldite® LY 5052 / Aradur® 5052 is a cold-curing epoxy system designed for high-performance applications in aerospace and industrial composites. This system consists of:

  • Araldite® LY 5052: A low-viscosity epoxy resin.
  • Aradur® 5052: A mixture of polyamines as the curing agent.

Key Features:

  • Low viscosity for easy impregnation of reinforcement materials.
  • Long pot life, allowing ample processing time for large structures.
  • Excellent mechanical and dynamic properties after ambient cure.
  • High-temperature resistance, further enhanced through post-curing.
  • Suitable for wet lay-up, Resin Transfer Molding (RTM), pressure molding, and filament winding.

2. Applications

  • Aerospace composites
  • Industrial composite structures
  • Tooling applications
  • Aircraft repairs
  • Structural laminates requiring high strength and thermal resistance
