Product Description

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Instant Adhesive CA100 is a high-strength, medium viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive designed for rapid bonding of a wide variety of substrates, including plastics, rubbers, and metals. Its relatively high viscosity (approximately 2500 to 4500 cP) allows for gap-filling capability up to 0.020 inches, making it suitable for bonding rough or uneven surfaces. The adhesive offers high T-Peel strength, thermal shock resistance, impact resistance, and excellent metal bonding capabilities.

Key Features

  • High Strength: Provides strong, durable, and long-lasting bonds.
  • Medium Viscosity: Allows for gap-filling up to 0.020 inches, suitable for bonding irregular surfaces.
  • Fast Setting: Reaches handling strength in under 70 seconds, enhancing productivity in assembly processes.
  • Versatile Adhesion: Bonds effectively to a wide range of substrates, including plastics, rubbers, and metals.
  • Durable Bonds: Offers high T-Peel strength, thermal shock resistance, and impact resistance.

Recommended Applications

  • Gasket Attachment: Securely bonds gaskets in sealing applications.
  • Small Joint Assembly: Ideal for assembling small components with tight tolerances.
  • Jewelry Assembly: Provides strong, invisible bonds for delicate pieces.
  • Orthopedics and Footwear: Suitable for bonding materials in medical devices and footwear manufacturing.
