1. Product Overview

Araldite® AV 170 is a one-component epoxy adhesive designed for structural bonding applications. It cures at elevated temperatures (140-180°C), providing high strength, toughness, and excellent heat resistance (up to 120°C). The adhesive exhibits very good peel strength, chemical resistance, and gap-filling capability up to 3mm.

2. Applications

Araldite® AV 170 is suitable for bonding a wide range of materials, including:

  • Metals (Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Copper, Brass)
  • High-temperature-resistant plastics (PC, PMMA, ABS, PA 66, PVC, CFRP, SMC, GRP)
  • Various composites and engineered substrates

It is commonly used in industries requiring structural strength, durability, and resistance to heat and chemicals.
