Product Description

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive 1469 is a one-part, 100% solids, thermosetting liquid adhesive designed for high-strength structural bonding applications. It offers exceptional impact, peel, and bond strength at service temperatures ranging from -70°F to 250°F (-57°C to 121°C). This adhesive emits little to no volatile by-products during curing, making it particularly suitable for bonding impervious surfaces and applications requiring curing under little or no pressure. It is easily applied using a spatula, knife coating, trowel, roller, pump, or high-pressure injection.

Key Features

  • High-Temperature Performance: Maintains strength between -70°F to 250°F (-57°C to 121°C).
  • High Bond Strength: Offers superior impact, peel, and shear strength compared to conventional epoxies.
  • Minimal Volatile Emissions: Enables bonding of impervious surfaces under minimal pressure.
  • Versatile Application Methods: Compatible with knife coating, trowel, roller, and extrusion techniques.
  • Long-Term Durability: Provides excellent retention of bond strength after environmental aging.

Recommended Applications

  • Structural bonding of metals, composites, and plastics in aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications.
  • Bonding impervious surfaces where minimal applied pressure is required.
  • Applications requiring high impact, peel, and environmental resistance.
