Product Description

3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive 2214 Hi-Temp is a paste consistency epoxy adhesive designed for high-strength bonding of metals and high-temperature plastics, such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic, polyester, and phenolics. This one-part, 100% solids, heat-curing epoxy is aluminum-filled and deaerated, making it suitable for high-strength applications at service temperatures between 180°F and 350°F (82°C to 177°C). It provides superior thermal and mechanical performance while maintaining strong adhesion with void-free bondlines.

Key Features

  • High-Temperature Resistance: Maintains bond integrity from 180°F to 350°F (82°C to 177°C).
  • Aluminum-Filled and Deaerated: Provides higher strength retention at elevated temperatures.
  • Paste Consistency: Allows for precise application and controlled bondline thickness.
  • UL 94 HB Rated: Meets flammability resistance requirements.
  • Strong Adhesion to Metals & High-Temperature Plastics: Ideal for aerospace and industrial applications.

Recommended Applications

  • Bonding high-temperature plastics and composites such as fiberglass-reinforced plastics, polyester, and phenolics.
  • Structural bonding of metals in aerospace, automotive, and industrial applications.
  • Applications requiring high-temperature strength and flame resistance.
