DOWSIL™ 1-2620 Low VOC Conformal Coating is a one-part, transparent, low-viscosity silicone resin solution designed to protect electronic components. This solvent-borne resin coating cures at room temperature, forming a tough, elastoplastic, and abrasion-resistant surface. It features a UV indicator for automated inspection and meets several industry standards, including UL 94 V-0 flammability rating, UL 746E recognition, IPC-CC-830 approval, and Mil-I-46058C approval. The low VOC formulation offers reduced odor and may simplify emissions recovery in certain regions.
Applications
This conformal coating is suitable for use as a protective layer for both rigid and flexible circuit boards. It is particularly beneficial in PCB system applications that require enhanced toughness and abrasion resistance. The low viscosity of the coating allows it to flow easily into narrow gaps and spaces, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
