LOCTITE MSC 1000S is a peelable, temporary solder resist designed to mask areas on a printed circuit board (PCB) before wave soldering. It withstands high temperatures, holds its position well due to its thixotropic nature, and is compatible with gold, silver, and pre-soldered surfaces. The material is non-flammable, non-corrosive, and non-ozone depleting, providing excellent protection in soldering applications.

• Suitable for hand, robotic, pneumatic, or template screening applications.
• Used to protect areas where components will be placed after wave soldering.
• Can be applied by brush for localized coverage.
• Recommended for use on gold, silver, and pre-soldered surfaces.
• Can be used on copper but may cause surface degradation and reduced solderability.
• Must be peeled off after soldering (not soluble in water or solvents).
