Product Description

3M™ Sprayable Hot Melt Adhesive 6111HT is a heat-applied, 100% solids, sprayable thermoplastic adhesive designed for high-strength bonding of various substrates, including most foams, fabrics, particle board, and thin metals. This adhesive offers excellent adhesion to polypropylene and other low surface energy (LSE) plastics, featuring high-temperature resistance and an extended open time suitable for large surface assemblies.

Key Features

  • 100% Solids: No volatile organic compounds (VOCs), ensuring environmental compliance.
  • Sprayable Application: Allows for controlled application with minimal overspray, providing a fast and neat alternative to aerosols, contact adhesives, and solvent-based adhesives.
  • Extended Open Time: Up to 8 minutes, facilitating large surface assembly and precise positioning before setting.
  • High-Temperature Resistance: Suitable for applications exposed to elevated temperatures, maintaining bond integrity.
  • Versatile Bonding: Bonds a wide variety of substrates, including most foams, fabrics, particle board, light gauge metals, and LSE plastics like polypropylene.

Recommended Applications

  • Insulation: Bonding insulation materials in construction and HVAC applications.
  • Headliners: Attaching automotive headliners and interior trim components.
  • Case Inserts: Securing foam inserts in protective cases and packaging.
  • Packaging: Adhering materials in packaging applications requiring strong bonds.
  • Seating Attachment: Bonding upholstery and cushioning in furniture manufacturing.
  • Furniture and Upholstery: Laminating fabrics and foams in furniture and upholstery applications.
