Applications

General Bonding Adhesive

General bonding adhesives are versatile adhesives designed to bond a wide range of substrates together, providing structural or semi-structural strength across many industrial and commercial applications.

How It Works

  • Applied as a liquid, paste, film, or tape between two surfaces

  • Cures by chemical reaction, moisture, heat, pressure, or UV light, depending on adhesive type

  • Forms a strong bond through mechanical interlocking, chemical bonding, or surface wetting

Main Functions

  • Bonds similar or dissimilar materials

  • Distributes stress evenly across bonded areas

  • Seals joints against moisture and contaminants

  • Replaces or supplements mechanical fasteners

Common Adhesive Types

  • Epoxy adhesives: High strength, excellent chemical and heat resistance

  • Polyurethane adhesives: Flexible, impact-resistant, good for dissimilar materials

  • Acrylic adhesives: Fast cure, strong bonds, good environmental resistance

  • Cyanoacrylate adhesives: Instant bonding for small parts

  • Silicone adhesives: Flexible, high-temperature and weather resistant

Typical Applications

  • Automotive and transportation components

  • Electronics assembly and device bonding

  • Industrial equipment and metal fabrication

  • Construction, signage, and panel bonding

  • Consumer goods and appliance assembly
